چکیده

Background and Aims : The prevalence of prediabetes is increasing in the global population its metabolic derangements may expose to a higher risk develop type 2 diabetes (T2D) cardiovascular burden. Lifestyle modifications might have considerable benefits on ameliorating status. Alternative biomarkers, such as circulating miR-21, has been recently discovered associated with dysglycemia. Current evidences demonstrated that miRs predict progression from pre-diabetic state. Here we evaluated, longitudinal cohort dysglycemic relation between miR-21/ROS/HNE levels lifestyle changes after 1 year follow-up.Methods: 1506 subjects DIAPASON study were screened basis Findrisc score. 531 ≥9 selected for dysglycemia (ADA criteria) tested ROS HNE levels, damaging-axis. 207 re-evaluated habit-intervention (HI), 1-year later. Repeated measures tests used evaluate changes. Furthermore, linear regression logistic models implemented association glycemic parameters miR-21/ROS/HNE.Results: We observed, HI,significant reduction axis subjects, concomitantly parameters.Significant positive interaction was observed miR-21 glycaemic HI. Lower HI, strongly damaging-axis, particular within values 2hPG<200 mg/dL.Conclusions: Our findings HI influenced epigenetic related axis. These data support usefulness novel biological approaches monitoring glycemia well provide screening tool preventive programmes. follow-up. Methods: miR-21/ROS/HNE. Results: mg/dL. Conclusions:

Acute lower extremity paralysis after lower extremity endovascular intervention.

A 61-year-old man underwent successful percutaneous revascularization of both lower limbs with multiple stent implantations. Paralysis of right lower limb was noticed after completion of procedure when transferring the patient from angiography table. Since hematoma compressing lumbosacral neural plexus could be a fatal complication, computed tomography (CT) image was taken. CT showed bulge of d...

Improving the level of amputation of the lower extremity after therapeutic endovascular intervention for patients with critical limb ischemia

Methods: We conducted a comparative study of two groups of patients suffering from arterial insufficiency of the lower extremities, and the decision taken to amputate above the knee for both of them. A group of patients selected for a therapeutic peripheral intervention, and the effect of this intervention in improving the level of amputation studied and calculated statistically. The study cond...

Lower cortisol levels predict recurrence in remitted patients with recurrent depression: A 5.5 year prospective study

Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) is a highly recurrent disease. Stress-responsive system dysfunction seems to persist after remission. In patients with more chronic and recurrent depressive episodes, state related HPA-axis dysregulation might be a risk factor for prospective recurrence. This study examines the predictive effect of cortisol on consecutive episodes in remitted recurrently depresse...
